The Black Box Phenomenon
Hey friends!
Last week, when I launched this website, I experienced what I like to call 'The Black Box Phenomenon'. You might've experienced this before. It's where you feel like you are venturing into the unknown, and everything is going to be really difficult and scary. When I was launching the website, I assumed it would be difficult to figure out how to navigate the hosting software and post stuff, and that it would also be difficult to link the domain name (tobysblog.me) to the hosting platform. I was totally wrong.
In truth, the hosting platform was really intuitive and I literally just clicked a button to post. For linking the domain name, I just created the DNS records (nowhere near as hard as it sounds), clicked 'activate' and I was good to go.
This brought me to the realization that nothing in life is that hard, you just tell yourself that it's hard. Sometimes the only thing holding us back is our mind.

Book -
I read Elon Musk's biography again last week. It really made me realize how interesting he is as a person, and how things can still be rescued even when it seems like its already too late. I would recommend reading it.
Website -
I discovered a really interesting website yesterday. It made me think about what could happen on the web, in terms of freedom of speech and public access to information, by the time 2050 rolls around. I would highly recommend checking it out here.
